I started with Personalized Fitness one month ago with the goal of losing fat and gaining muscle, and to quit smoking.  I joined the small group training, and was extremely pleased with the price.  I really enjoyed the workouts and the personal attention I got from Mark.

I knew I was getting stronger, and could tell my body was changing, but I was starting to get discouraged as I was actually putting on a few pounds instead of taking them off.  Then I went in for my measurements.  In just the last 30 days my percentage of body fat has dropped from 22% to 15%!  I lost 10 lbs of fat and put on 14 lbs of muscle!  And I haven't smoked in 3 weeks!

Additionally, I just came back from a doctors appointment.  My doctor is extremely pleased with my changes I have made.  She says I have the heart of an athelete, the kind of cholesterol levels most people only dream about, and I am healthier than I have ever been!

I am extrememly pleased with Personal Fitness, and with Mark as a trainer.  I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who wants to get in shape or improve themselves!

April 18th, 2008 - I just had to let you know I had my cholesterol checked the other day and my overall total is down from 185 to 170. My LDL is 104 and a yr ago it was 124. The HDL is 51 and was 49 or 47 last yr.( I need to work on that one). I know it should be 60 and above, which more exercise will help and continuing eating healthy. My triglycerides were 73 which was down from 93 last year. My blood pressure is up a little; 150/80. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know because I'm sure my time at Personalized Fitness was a major contributor to the improvement of those numbers. So I just wanted to say thanks!

"Before talking with Mark I felt fairly educated with respect to physical fitness, and being a Christian I also believe I have a biblical perspective on life. "In 2002, Alison Jacobs was entering her freshman year at Elkhorn High School. The 14-year-old had significant natural ability as a volleyball player, but wanted to better herself athletically. She began working out at Personalized Fitness and gained strength, agility, power and awareness that made her a more explosive volleyball athlete. Throughout her high school career, she was successful on the volleyball court. As a senior in 2005, Alison served as team captain and helped lead her team to a state championship. That January, Alison realized that she would need that “extra edge” in her training to make her a standout prospect for the collegiate volleyball scene, so she returned to Personalized Fitness to work on her upper body strength and vertical jump improvement. Because she did not have a strong lifting or cardiovascular training background, Alison responded very well to the combination of different training regimens established by 3 of our top personal trainers.  Each brought something unique to Alison’s training, and by June of 2005, the results were amazing. Alison improved her bench press from 45 to 155 pounds and her vertical jump was now at 28 inches. That summer, she attended a volleyball camp for incoming freshman at the University of Auburn in Alabama. Because of her training with Personalized Fitness, Alison was in much better shape physically than any other freshman attending, and she was the recipient of the MVP award. The coaching staff approached her to attend the upper classman training camp where she again was awarded the MVP. Alison went on to attend Auburn that fall as the top incoming freshman in volleyball and had a very successful freshman year. She will be transferring to Kearney State College in Kearney, Nebraska, which is a national volleyball powerhouse in Division II. Though much of Alison’s success on the volleyball court has come from her natural athletic ability, her training with Personalized Fitness helped her go beyond being “a natural” to becoming a recognized national-level athlete. "I wanted to write a quick note to let you know what you, Alex, and the Personalized Fitness team mean to me. I know you remember the day that I showed up at your door-step. It was a Saturday and you weren't even open. You had the patience to listen to me though, and it is there that my life turned around. My wife had just died after a year long battle with Leukemia. I was left alone, devastated, with a six month old baby girl at home.
